Such a simple solution, and yet so brilliant. Pinkie and Cheese are cut from the same cloth: they both get huge enjoyment out of making others happy. Cheese started his gag factory to spread that enjoyment far and wide. However, if he’s unable to see the effect his efforts have on ponies while staying in his factory, it does nothing for him, taking away his laugh and his cheeriness. He needs to be out there making those smiles and those laughs happen, not lingering behind a desk or surveying an assembly line.
