That face looks more blank than creepy. He looks like characters in any cartoon usually do when a camera goes off too close to their eyes. His eyes aren’t leering they’re just spacing out.

It was a joke since those are by far the most popular Rarity ships (at least in fanart) and you hardly ever see any others around here in comparison. But, if you wanted to argue it seriously you could probably say that overall in the show too it seems both of them are best supported or have the most reasons to argue for them.

See, even the official comics make the case that Sparity and Rarijack are the only Rarity ships that apparently matter.
