Ok so now we’ve got Seaquestria (Hippogriffs posing as seaponies), Aquastria (Creatures which are cross of land and sea animals) and those seaponies wearing jwellery in the comics (the ACTUAL seaponies?). There’s also the sirens and that one kelpie in the comics.

Never said it had to look exactly like one, I just think they should’ve mixed in more traits of a manta ray, as well.
 
Manta rays are actually one of my favorite ocean animals. It’s funny how most people think all rays are stingrays when giant Mantas and such look very different, or lack the barbed tails. So at least they didn’t go the cliché route and make it resemble a stingray.
