Now we get the interesting characters- Princess Trixie and General Fancy Pants!

Trixie was the obvious choice for Prince Zuko, her being Twilight’s arch-rival in the show, but choosing a character to play Iroh was terribly difficult- he’s such an important character, after all. For a while it was Starswirl, then it was Zecora, then Starswirl again… but we eventually cast them both elsewhere. We decided on Fancy Pants because he’s kind of the “wise old guy” character in Sweet and Elite and I’ve always liked to think of him as a mentor to Rarity in the show. If he doesn’t look exactly like Fancy Pants, that’s because he’s missing his monocle and mustache XD

They both had their eye colors changed because Fire Nation people have golden eyes (for the most part- the benders specifically) It seems silly to have blue ponies play fire benders, but that’s a nuance at this point.
