Rocky is the kind of man who would wouldn’t just settle for a one night stand with the best party pony in town. No, he’d be sure to get the hottest bag of flour this side of Sugar Cube corner in on the action.

Yesterday, on a lark based on some comments I drew up a quick Menage-a-Trois picture just to appease my own strange sense of humor. After looking at it though I decided that it seemed overly spartan; it needed more… Much more. So I sat down and between games of LoL put together a painting, using the 15 minute sketch as the basis for it and then going from there.

But when I was done it seemed… I dunno… Too well lit. So I did some quick tricks I learned long ago with colorization and gave it a the quick moonlight treatment and then re-did the cigarette ember so it stood out against the darkness.

Speaking of the cigarette (which was added after the sketch,) while i was painting it became apparent that I was missing some balance on the right hand side. Pinkie is a SUPER pink pony. As a result, the composition on the right seemed bland; what with nothing but an earth brown bag of flour. So I decided that it was a wild night and that party hats were in-fact necessary.

To be honest, the party hat I think is the best part of this picture; but that’s just me.

Marked mature just to be sure no one gets the wrong idea about this one. Also, small size is small. I’ll have to remember when I do a low res sketch like that to blow it up to my normal res before starting painting.
