So this is my submission for ’s week 23 prompt “A Superhero Pony!”

I’d had fought all weekend to come up with an idea, any idea. But since none came to me for anything other then “something, on a roof, with a flash of lightning,” I decided to start with the background and then start going from there.

Then Fleur De Lis came to mind as the pony I wanted to paint, though again I didn’t know how she was going to fit into the theme. So I painted her up there doing the classic action pose.

Then, well, the came was added and the stupidly obvious pun came in and it all went downhill from there. The cape was added to make the pun visually obvious.

In any case, here you have her, Super Model! The greatest mare to ever grace Canterlot’s high fashion district and protector of the Velvet and Suede!

Again there so much I want to change, but time is up and I need to let this one spread its wings and fly so I can try again in another painting.
