He hasn’t commented on this so I would assume he doesn’t really care or wants to avoid controversy (although I doubt anybody here would give him a hard time about it).
 
I’d be curious to find out what he thinks of his creation now that it’s been out there for a while and reactions have cooled down.
 
I haven’t asked him because I don’t want to bug him with it.
