He doesn’t always tag his commissions
People can filter abuse, if they don’t like if bad thing happens with a character they like. By default its filtered. I don’t think that the commissioner don’t likes Derpy, it’s just a situation that came to mind and wanted to see it. Maybe they have some other sense of humor.
If you think about it this scene uses bully Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon. It presents the scene as a bad act.
Why do this to spite people?
And if don’t like a character, why spend money on it?
The commissioner likes it and that’s enough. I think this is an interesting concept. Not just happy ponies smiling in mugs or a smiling Luna the 1000th times.
