they’re not immortal alicorns have an extended lifespan and its mostly fanon that they’re goddess considering in the past unicorns had moved the sun and the moon before they did I’d say they’re mostly demi-goddess at most.
It’s not really a fanon. Celestia and Luna literally control the Sun and Moon, and are immortal.
If you follow the popular goddess fanon, then sure, I guess.
In Equestria, a princess and a goddess are effectively one and the same (just look at Celestia and Luna, lol).
