Celestia gave her this governmental minivan. She clearly has some status.
Yeah, right. I would love to see where it was stated that Celestia gave her that van.
Can’t tell if joking or not. Haha! Twi says Celestia told her to get a car for work in an earlier episode and Twi didn’t do it. Twi called it Celestia’s money but Spike called it tax payer money. Jump to now and Twi again brings it up saying Celestia’s government money.

Um, no…? I assume that Twilight doesn’t have the same status in this world as she does in Equestria. It might be more like in Equestria Girls, where she has pretty much the same status as everyone else, just with an increased intellect.

Typical Twilight. Reading every book she comes across.
Also, I don’t know why, but I like the idea of these fictional ponies interacting with objects from the real world, including that car they are in. Logically speaking none of the ponies should know what a car is, considering they don’t exist in either G4 or G5 Equestria (outside of the Marestream, but that is more of a magical plane than a car). It’s almost like Equestria Girls if all of the characters in that series were ponies instead of humans, interacting with objects from the human world.
