This episode was a disappointment to me. While it had its great moments, it didn’t have a good ending. The Mane 5 could’ve easily followed the ferry with their flying car, or at least flew to the location, but they didn’t for some reason. I understand the message was that “You don’t need a tropic resort to be together,” but that was executed poorly. Sunny probably spent a fortune on those tickets, so deciding not to go or get a refund was just bad decision-making.
I feel like this could’ve been written better, like say the Mane 5 arrived at the resort and do some activities separately, then get disappointed that it’s not up to their standards, and group together and decide the resort isn’t for them. At least we’d get some satisfaction instead of not seeing the resort period.
I know it might sound like I’m whining at this point, but given the possiblity we might not see this resort in future episodes, this is, in my opinion, quite a letdown given the hype.

Or they just didn’t have enough time to build something, as I’m sure TYT is made with very short deadlines (judging from the shortcuts non-English dubs take)
I was hoping we’re finally going to see some other towns or cities. I finally want to know if Briddlewood, Maretime Bay and Zephyr Heights were the last remaining pony settlements or if there are more out there.
I’m slightly disappointed that Ponytropico seems to be just a hotel and not a different town.
I thought this was going to be about how Maretime Bay wouldn’t survive without the Mane Five. I wouldn’t mind seeing them just have a nice vacation as well.
That would be funny

How do you know how much she spent for those tickets?
Yeah, after flying through a storm cloud and saying “just a little rain”, I wouldn’t want her to fly me further either.
wat? NO! xD I mean, about Sunny’s tickets she bought for her friends she spend a lot of money for nothing
Wait, do you mean the production cost for each episode is $10k? TIL.
Edited because: I'm stupid!
