To summarize what the AU is about, basically different events occur that cause certain events and characters to go and act differently than we know them. In this version of Equestria, it is ruled by the Pillars of Equestria (Starswirl, Mistmane, Rockhoof, Somnambula, Flash Magnus, And Mage Meadowbrook) who are cursed to be immortal.
 
Chrysalis was found by King Thorax’s doorstep, he doesn’t know where she came from or who brought her here, but he decided to raise her as his own. She lived a life of royalty, having the love and respect of citizens of the kingdom, but she felt like she didn’t belong here. She looked different compared to other Changelings and she strangely preferred taking the shape of a pony than any other form. For years King Thorax had hid the fact that she was adopted and not born into the royal family, but when Chrysalis asked him questions relating to her being different, she accidentally revealed to her how she was brought in. Feeling betrayed by her “father” keeping a secret about her life for so long, she left the hive and abandoned everything about love and replaced it with hatred. Even if she ran off to do her own thing, King Thorax does want to reunite with her and apologize to lying to her, so he hopes that someone from Equestria could find her and convince her to come back home.
