honestly I can understand why twilight would forgive her friends more then her brother or mentor on one hand they should know her better and shouldn’t take the way she was acting so lightly (I mean she just told them how great cadance was and suddenly she hates her) on the other they never meet cadance till then so for all they know that’s just normal but shining and celestia have no such right. also it isn’t the first time the mane 6 did something that hurt one of them and never apologize or if they do its lackluster (rainbow dash’s treatment of fluttershy during dragonshy comes to mind) the show has a problem of forgiving people who don’t really deserve it or shouldn’t be forgiven so easily (discord after season 4 and starlight) or not really doing it so well.

That’s true, yes. Still, even though Twilight did go overboard trying to prove her suspicions, you’d think her friends and even her mentor would have a little more faith in her than to just walk out on her like they did. Shining Armor I can understand, since he was stressed from his guard duties, wedding prep, and having his mind scrambled by ‘Cadance’‘s magic, and thought his little sister was, for whatever reason, trying to interfere with the most important day of his life.
And while Twilight was more forgiving of her friends not believing her, since even she didn’t foresee ‘Cadance’ being a Changeling, there’s a reason this two-parter spawned so many fics where she’s still hurting from the events of it.

She was actually hurting because she thought she had been wrong about “Cadence” and screwed up badly.

I’m sure Twilight appreciates the sentiment, but one apology from Applejack in everypony’s name isn’t going to make up for the pain and heartbreak she went through of being abandoned by her best friends when she needed their support.
