OOC: So yeah, that happened… and honestly? I have no idea how, I never submitted my blog, nor do I think that there’s anything particularly notable about my art or writing (well, I managed to work in the phrase “Discord’s saggy man-tits” in a comic, which is probably fairly notable, altough not necesserily in a good way…).
Anyway, this sounds like a good opportunity to show the newcomers the ropes. Right now, this comic takes place in season 2, meaning that Twilight is still a unicorn and questions related to season 3, while welcome, will be saved until the plot advances enough to catch up.
The three main characters are Mayor Mare, the…. well, mayor, Derpy Hooves, who work as an assistant of sort, doing various odd jobs and Raven, a student from Canterlot sent by Celestia to straighten out Ponyville’s economy.
Raven is based on a background character seen first as an earth pony in Luna Eclipsed and later as a unicorn, which is the version I’m using in this comic.There’s a race for the re-election going on, with the main candidates outlined here.
