oh absolutely! i’m definitely not trying to say that the early animation is bad, i just find it fascinating to see how the animation style changed over time. i actually quite like the side-mouths and i’m kinda sad they didn’t keep it

To be fair most facial expressions were like that in Season 1 and 2. The art style for FiM wasn’t as defined and consistent as later seasons. It looks off if you look at it a certain way, but I think it’s still pretty expressive.
