Description
Here’s a little drawing of Grandpa Gruff and Grandma Grizel’s first encounter as cubs. When Gruff was a child, he was in the same paws and claws as Gallus and was known as the town’s thief. Some considered him a troublesome street-rat who did his thefts “when the devil was too busy to cause trouble” while others praised him for the care he showed towards cubs and fledglings, carefreely wandering around the streets of Griffinstone and defending meek Griffons from the bad ones. One of the meek Griffons he’d come across was Grizel, the daughter of a wealthy family who, despite liking her wealthy life, would occasionally grow a bit bored of it as there was hardly anything challenging for her to do and would often sneak off disguised as a peasant girl to “take a small break” from it. One such day while roaming the streets around the marketplace, Gruff spotted the Griffoness who got in trouble after giving away bread to children without paying. Gruff came to her rescue, using his quick-wittiness and conjuration skills to successfully trick the shopkeeper and together, the two children got chased by the royal guards of King Goldstone, father of, then prince, Guto, who also happened to be great friends with Gruff, which the king didn’t really approve of. After the soldiers lost their tracks, Gruff considered it the perfect moment to properly introduce himself. Knowing everygriff in town, he was able to recognise Grizel in a second. As a form of apology, he gave her a few sunflowers, not knowing at the time that it was her favourite flowers. As you can see, Gruff’s kindness, mutual care for children, bravery, and down-to-earth personality really captured the little hopeless romantic’s heart. Hope you like it! ^^
