Brooklyn Blackout is a 28 year old earth pony mare living and working in Central Manehattan in her dessert restaurant. Softly spoken, and known locally as an absolute sweetheart, this mare is always ready to go above and beyond in order to help anyone she can, no matter their species.
Physically, Brooklyn is considerably smaller than average for an adult earth pony mare, though she retains the same bodily proportions as normal. However, as small as she is, she is notably strong- and has won numerous local “Iron Mare” competitions on her seemingly unnatural strength and stamina alone.
Unlike some other ponies, she doesn’t brag about her accomplishments, and takes it with the same demure graciousness as she does almost anything else. Her restaurant is well known locally, especially among those with a bit of a “sweet tooth,” and she is known to use some of the finest ingredients she can get her hooves on to use on her cakes.
It is noted that Brooklyn Blackout has also had regular self defence classes for the last 10 years, and is more than capable of taking care of herself if necessary- and of course, much to her immense chagrin. In short, she hates the idea of fighting, but also understands that it can be an unfortunate necessity.
Helpful, kind, and always ready to assist those less fortunate than herself, Brooklyn donates a lot of her profits to charitable organisations, and this is what brought her by chance into contact with “The Damaged Goods Society” - The place to go for a mare who considers herself unlucky in matters of the heart.
And Brooklyn, after a messy and acrimonious split from her griffon ex-boyfriend at the time, joined the group without hesitation. She has rapidly befriended numerous other members: notably Frazzle, Cookie Cream, and surprisingly, Cherry Smoothie- counting her as her very best friend. For her part, Cherry dotes on Brooklyn like a little sister, and cares for the little mare deeply and honestly.
When it comes to more personal matters, Brooklyn Blackout is heterosexual and would love to start a family with the right guy- However, it must be stated that she would likely not consider another griffon as a potential partner- owing to the aforementioned ex, and the nature of their breaking up.
She is known to be a cuddlebug, and loves all manner of physical affection, but truly values honesty and integrity, and not being rushed into any part of a relationship- that is a massive turn-off for her, so douchebags need not apply here.
