Description

It was nighttime, prime time, ancient legacy of crime. The sky was black with a tint of dark blue, and obscured by pitch black thunderclouds, with the moon invisible for the spectators on the ground, the celestial body safely hidden behind that cover of threatening-looking clouds high up the ground. The whole city seemed like perfect for a Noir film, with a complex combination of overbearing black skyscrapers, cheap hotels, dimly-lit bars, sirens wailing in the background indicative of a crime in progress, and almost a monochromatic ‘feel’ of sorts, with only few colors from neon signs that made the place feel a bit less Noir and more Neo Noir.
In this big industrial city, it was a common occurrence to either hear about, or directly spectate criminal actions, ranging from your usual run-of-the-mill purse steal, armed robbery, aggravated assault, to the most whimsical and over-the-top punishable actions such as planting bombs in all the police stations, or dumping toxic waste in the water supply, or sabotaging bridges and power plants, attempting to nuke the entire city, and assaulting military bases to steal weapons and ammunition, by various villains that would easily fall under the classification of ‘super’ due to the magnitude of their deeds and their high position in the underworld, ranging from ex-attorneys, mafia mobs, ex-scientists, mercenaries, corrupt businessmen and completely crazy clown psychos.
That city, that at first glance would be pretty much considered a magnet for random criminal activity of the highest level and domestic terrorism, was defended heavily by both an overtaxed, overworked, fairly corrupt, and generally in a disadvantage police force, and a nightmarishly efficient vigilante with cape and bat mask that was more often than not a shadow tying up and beating up criminals of all magnitude, generally summoned by the flashing of a huge searchlight on top of the police headquarters, the extremely bright source emanating from the carbon arc discharge of 800,000,000 candela projecting itself through the rhodium mirror and into the foggy, smog-filled atmosphere, creating an distinctive distress call of a white circle with a stylized bat-shaped emblem in the middle
At first, it was most likely the worst place you could actively live in, with all that crime and all that shit, and the occasional big baddie breaking from the nearby Asylum to deliver concentrated hell upon the unbeknownst civilians of the metropolis, but after a few years, the city had become stable, and up to a certain point it even had fewer crime rates than many other cities in their surroundings. This was mostly thanks to said vigilante of the night with bat paraphernalia that, with a bit of an aid from the law enforcement agencies in Manehattan that tried to get better of their past, managed to lower the amount of crimes in the cities and shoo away any gangs, because everyone was afraid of the bat, or at the very least everyone that dedicated their life doing misdeeds, either literally by some magical forces, or by the means of pure status as the ‘unavoidable ass kicker of the city’ and psychological intimidation. The ones that decided to defy the odds despite the compelling evidence usually being shown a quick way out of the city, or imprisoned in it, meanwhile the batto was loved by the citizens due to actively helping the community in that regard.
Thanks to this, now the city was a busy and flourishing conurbation of bustling ponies that did their job without fear of being randomly attacked in the middle of the night, or stolen, or any crazy shenanigans that a supervillain tried to do… and if that ever happened, despite the probability being minimal, they knew that the vigilante would lurk in the shadows, protecting them, keeping them safe, and punishing anybody who committed misdeeds. But that, in exchange, also meant fewer ‘job opportunities’ for our hidden superhero, with the police starting to become an effective force to tackle down the menial tasks. Today, or more appropriately, tonight, was one of these times where the incognito protagonist reminiscent of Mare-Do-Well was finishing his ‘night shift’ with only a couple dozen ponies taken into custody (Read: Restrained for the police to jail, not before a sound beating to remember them who’s in charge).
Such was the life of the valiant and heroic paladin of the night, as he currently maintained close surveillance on the always-awake city, the bright lights underneath reflecting on the shiny fuselage of his vehicle as he flew around on his bat-wing aircraft, specifically designed for him to tackle on his needs as the knight of the darkness. Even then, he could actively fly himself using his wings, but preferred this method when it was just looking around for any suspicious activity; when it was clear that there was something hot going on, he flew over there personally to deal with the hazard alone, blending in the darkness that prevailed in the corners and alleyways. Stealth and subterfuge, technology and combat experience were his tools, and he utilized them to their greatest extent as he quietly yet effectively snuck up on unsuspecting thieves to deliver a final blow in the first round. This also meant that while patrolling the streets of Manehattan, he was accompanied by his trusty associate; Robin Bat-Wing… yes yes you may think it’s a simple vehicle but the truth is, it was way more than that. After a few inconveniences with past villains and crime-solving, this new iteration of the Bat-Bing had been created, which had the most advanced artificial intelligence capable of pony-like thought. In a sense, it was another part of the team, just like Alfred or Lucius.
“Mr. Shadow, I don’t see anything in my scanners in regards to criminal activity. Everything seems normal for the most part” The slightly robotic voice said, this voice belonging to the being literally having the cockpit as a part of her body; the Bat-Wing. The pilot of such a living machine, both literally and figuratively, checked through the many interfaces and apparatuses that were inside his vast cabin and effectively acknowledged that there was no imminent threat to any civilian in the surroundings, which was further proven by Lucius as he looked through the many monitors safe within the bat-cave, of the major cameras in the city, and promptly handled that information to the Bat-Colt pilot pony
“Yeah… I can notice that, thank you Bat-Wing” Shadow said as he gently patted a part of the cockpit and decided to get finished with his patrol, slowly taking the control column with his gloved hooves and gently moving the yoke to the left side as he attempted to return back to his lair, the plane pony under his command purring contently at the gratitude and quietly heading back to base in a pylon turn. In any case they’ve been looking around for a fair amount of hours already, and he still had to take care of his civilian persona; Shadow Spirits. The Batcolt wasn’t exactly known to be out there in the open in broad daylight anyways, unless it was for a very threatening emergency. And just like any other kind of superhero, he had a double life and had to focus his attention on the ‘civilian’ part as much as the ‘superhero’ part in order to not raise suspicions as to what’s his secret identity.
After a half a minute or so, in part due to the advanced engineering of the plane pony with their potent powerplant and her sleek, aerodynamic body, they had managed to arrive to their predetermined destination. Upon recognizing all the stealthy landmarks around the area, and receiving the unique wavelength coming from the probe near the landing pad, the plone showcased a smug smile in her visage as her formidable engines suddenly changed direction to face downwards, revealing the ability to provide vectored thrust and the fact that she was a VTOL (Vertical Take Off and Landing) aircraft. The downwards force that created her thrusters as she attempted to make a landing onto the forested region caused a bit of a ‘rotor wash’, though in this case it might be considered a ‘jet wash’; lifting up trace amounts of dust and dirt around as she reduced her airspeed and altitude.
Soon, her soft fluffy hooves had posed themselves on top of the velvety grass that was outside the cavernous mountain belonging to Shadow… in a sense, since his batcave was there anyways. She walked a bit around, enjoying the feeling of the ground lightly pressed underneath her hooves, happy that she had finally was at home and finished another day of hard work. Her invisibility coating suddenly vanished and revealed the dark gray-vantablack exterior of her coat and fuselage, as she proceeded to walk towards the pad that was the entrance for her into the cave, with her owner sitting comfortably on her cockpit, but out of sudden she had stopped, without any prior input from the crewmember in her cabin or any of her associates.
She opened the door on the side of her body, which was the access door for the cabin, and with that she indicated the little blue-haired pony inside her to exit. Of course Shadow Spirits was confused at this, since the usual procedure to follow after coming back from patrolling Manehattan was to land near or preferably in the landing pad camouflaged as usual grass, before the elevator brought the plane pony and bat hero down, then transport them inside the cave with electromagnetic railings. “Why… uh.. why you wanted us to stop here?” Shadow said with an intrigued and curious voice, not really annoyed by the plone’s decision but wanting to know the fundaments behind it.
“Oh well… Um… I was thinking… since we did a good work today…” The Bat-Wing said as he slowly and carefully drew little circles on the ground with his forehoof, a physical representation of his shyness and anxiousness, which was a rather funny personality trait for such innovative warmachine meant to fight crime and help heroes. She looked around bashfully, glancing between her pilot and the surroundings as if the trees or the cave next to her were about to tell her the secrets in her next request. And then she locked eyes with Shadow Spirits, and with a resolute yet shy voice, she asked “Could we… like… cuddle tonight? Please? We did a hard work, and I think you deserve some rest… I-If you’d allow me to do so, Mr. Shadow”
The hero Pegasus, usually stoic and silent, only focused on their task at hoof, suddenly felt his cheeks go red under his mask, a prelude to the full-blown embarrassment that would happen afterwards when they get to do these actions. He stammered cutely as he tried to make sense to what his giant vehicle said to him. “Well…. I suppose we could… if you really want that that is? I’m pretty sure n-no one would see us here, and it’ll be quick anyways.” The black pony with yellow eyes and blue mane expressed as he approached the bat planepony. Unexpectedly, said plone trotted happily in place as she was happy and eager of serving her master in such a way, and with a fast, unexpected surprise movement, that was clearly inspired by her Bat-Colt buddy, she had picked him up and lied on one of the mountain’s walls, finding the perfect spot without any kind of weird rock poking out to cause discomfort, and quickly hugged the batpony in her belly, smiling softly.
The superhero, despite his quick reflexes, was unable to actively predict such a surprising ambush maneuver as he was suddenly ensnared by the hooves of the adorable Bat-Wing and gently yet a little bit tightly embraced against her fluffy belly/chest fluff, his body sinking onto the velvety and thick fluffiness providing insulation for these cold nights high up in the sky. “Eep, d-didn’t expect you’d be so… eager…” Shadow said with a hint of interest, he was actually enjoying this quite a bit… perhaps he should get to do this more often, she’s very soft…
”W-well you’re just a really cute and nice owner, and I thought I should return the favor… maybe?” The Bat-Wing said as he hugged Shadow tightly, pressing him with her soft fluffy underhooves and purring contently like a cute kitty, or a cute giant and very fluffy bat-planepony. As for our knight of the night Shadow Spirits, he was actually enjoying this very much… blushing a lot, and generally embarrassed since he wasn’t really one to showcase affection, especially physical affection like this, but right now, he felt content, happy and at ease. The Bat-Wing’s idea seemed excellent, considering he was actually starting to relax and get comfortable in the softness of the giant pony that snuggled him like a plushie. Such an adorable scene, as both smiled contently, happy for being with eachother. “Well… I don’t really mind this… It’s really nice… and comfy… so if you want to keep treating me as a plushie we can keep doing it as long as you’d like… though preferably inside the bat-cave just in case”
“Of course master, sorry, I’ve just been wanting to do this since quite a while… Thank you for being so nice to me and for working so hard fighting crime” The plane pony said, that particularly noticeable yet soft robotic undertone lacing her voice, showcasing that she was a machine in design despite their cuddly and cute appearance. Her cute little fang showcased outside of her kitty-like mouth as she closed her eyes in relaxation, letting her wings free like a relaxing Pegasus as she decided to take a little nap, her smol companion, who was also quite fluffy yet was dressed in his usual hero attire, was currently in a blissful state as he also closed his eyes and attempted to do his best at hugging the plone, listening to her soft, almost melodic snoring as her belly/chest raised up and down, up and down, symbolizing her breathing, and her soft, fluffy black/gray forehooves gently exerting downwards pressure on Shadow’s tiny body. This was a really enjoyable night indeed… after a long time taking care of crime, he deserved this…

A cute adorable artwork that I did for one of my best friends, if not my best friend forever and ever WaynePonePone/WayneChikorita/Shadow Spirits. He’s such a cute cutie and I love him and I hope he likes this artwork <3.
He actually had asked me for this for a loooooooong while, but thanks to my peanut sized memory and the fact I’m often busy with assignments and stuff I was unable to complete it until now that I decided to stop having my balls in my hand and get to draw something :D. So here it is, the return of the Bat-Wing plane pony of colossal fluffiness and Shadow Spirits, a cute cutie that loves Batman very much
You could consider this an extremely late birthday gift, or at the very least he considers it that way, I don’t know myself but I’m really really terrible at making birthday gift art. You tell me it’s your birthday today and I’ll spiral into an anxious wreck cuz I’m biologically unable to do a drawing in a day D:
Either way, have this, cute plone! And happy late very late very very so latte with mocca birthday! <3 Hugs and cuddles and snuggles Shadow

Awww, glad to hear you loved it so much, I’m so happy that you indeed enjoyed this drawing. I was so worried that you wouldn’t like it or I missed something <.<’ (Also sorry for the late reply xP)
The batplone is definitely gigantic in regards to Shadow, who is normal-sized. But I’m sure Shadow wouldn’t mind being tinier~

Shut up Cartman!
I love this! Having played so many Batman games makes me feel attached to his vehicles like the Batmobile and Batwing. I feel like they’re alive because they can be remotely controlled by Batman. :P
There’s also the idea that Batman is a bigger sweetheart than he makes himself seem like. :3
