Violet Midnight is a 47 year old pegasus mare originally from Cloudsdale, but now living and working in Baltimare as a senior administrator at the Royal General Hospital on the outskirts of the city. Known as a mare who works hard and plays harder, she is divorced from her ex-husband and currently single.
Physically, she is in good health for a pegasus mare of her age, though said age is beginning to creep up on her, and she often looks somewhat tired. She is a good flier in general, but not exceptional at any level. Her fitness level is decent, as would be expected of a pegasus mare, though she does live a fairly sedentary lifestyle.
She does have a son and a daughter with her ex-husband, though they have both grown up and moved out prior to Violet’s divorce. Both children now have families of their own, and Violet lives alone with her calm and friendly pet Kestrel, Yvette.
Respected as a mare who can get things done, and as an excellent problem solver with great financial acumen, she has been an absolute boon to the hospital since she began working there 25 years ago. She is the very picture of professionalism in the workplace, and in the course of her service to the hospital has become very well connected within the Equestrian Health Service.
However, since her amicable divorce from her ex-husband, which was evidently a mutual decision as their marriage collapsed around them, she has become known for partying very hard on weekends, and among locals has unfortunately picked up a reputation for drunken revelry.
With regards to this matter, Violet is heterosexual, and couldn’t care less about the species of a potential partner. She is decidedly picky about who she chooses to spend her private time with, however. And despite her reputation, is nowhere near as much of a slut as scuttlebutt makes her out to be.
Violet is well aware of these horrible rumours, and treats them with the contempt they deserve, because she knows full well that the real truth will come out eventually.
