I’m so happy for these two! Now I want to see a confrontation between Alphabittle and Opaline. How would Alphabittle react? Opaline has been awful to little Misty for a lot of years, but she also took her, gave her protection and raised her after all!
PS: No, I’m not protecting Opaline at all… I wanna see that &%$&!# burn
I personally like the opaline to be reformation. She can surely join their family after reformation. But if Hasbro used a theory, I would like my theories to be used as well. For example, I think Skyros can be the name of an orphanage.
If you’re implying that her name should be “Misty Blossomforth”, then while it’s a somewhat understandable point, yet, for one thing Sunny’s second name is “Starscout”, while his dad’s full name is “Argyle Starshine”, so the family name-system seems rather illogical and broken to me in MLP in general.
As for Misty’s case, the “Unicorn Sleepover” episode made it look like as if it was just a quickly made-up name, because that was the first plausible sounding last name she could come up with at that moment. Yet Hasbro made it official by making that name appearing on merchandise, which would imply that it’s her real name indeed, so it’s kinda chaotic if you ask me.
And as for Opaline, she’s a fun villain for sure, but unless she’ll get redeemed somehow in the end, she should look after an another minion as a company, because with her current personality she had a bad influence on Misty. Even though they’ve made a fun, rather comedic antagonist duo, especially in TYT, yet if you think about it, it was basically a toxic family-dynamic between a narcissist and an empath, knowing Misty’s element and spark is the empathy itself.
If Alpha is Misty’s father, her name should be something else, but Misty Brightdawn is her official name. That’s why it doesn’t make sense. Misty deserves love, but equally, Opaline shouldn’t be alone

Misty got lost as a filly while she was looking for some crystals. Then she accidentally wandered way too far away from Bridlewood, maybe even hit her head, so she had some amnesia, when she was found by Opaline, that’s why she couldn’t remember her home and family. This and/or Opaline probably kidnapped Misty, then constantly gaslighted her making her stay by her side.
Alphabittle probably tried his best to find his daughter, but without any sign of success and hope he probaby gave up after a while and started gambling and collecting stuff to cope with the loss of his family.
What’s so illogical about this?
Misty needs the unconditional parental love she couldn’t get for the most part of her life, and Alphabittle also already has proved to be a caring, family-oriented pony, thus he would make a great father.

True. As sympathetic as Misty might have seemed during her orphanage, that probably would have made Opaline’s path less traveled, considering her abdication of tattered Alicorn rendition was still not enough and using Misty as planned beta. So, from Alphie’s perspective, that must really solidify his regained fatherhood to welcome themselves in their reunion renewal and venture forward as Misty’s shining light of Bridlewood’s legacy.
Why is it so interesting to you?
It’s true that Opaline is bad with Misty, but I would have preferred Misty to be an orphan. It is really more logical.
What a pretty adorable unicorn couple together, much better than Opaline. At least I will gladly prosper with commenting this myself, because I’m sick of playing referee against everyone else that’s still shimmering under blacklight with Opaline. At least that gives people a calmer chance to discuss something less salacious and discuss something more heartfelt, like Misty and Alphabittle’s family-bonding experience here.
Yeah
Pipp petals…Zipp storm.
