Ivory Heart is a 33 year old Pegasus mare, originally of Cloudsdale, but now living and working in Canterlot as a dispatcher for the local weather team. She is part of a large and tightly-knit extended family scattered throughout Equestria, with numerous siblings, cousins, aunts, and uncles.
Physically, Ms. Heart is in good general health, being slightly above average height for a pegasus, while simultaneously being significantly underweight- yet not to an unhealthy level. She does suffer with phantom aches and pains from old injuries, and in particular, a hormonal instability, which we shall touch on later.
Ms. Heart is well known in the city to be a hardworking mare, with a kind word for almost everypony, especially children of any species. She has absolutely no time for the so-called nobility, and despises manly of them openly for their general cowardice, avarice, greed, and double-dealing. Of course, there are exceptions to the rule, and it is known that she gets on particularly well with Fancy Pants, despite his noble status.
Reputed to be generally calm, methodical, and meticulous, Ivory Heart is focused under pressure, including during emergency situations. She was present during the Changeling invasion of Canterlot City, and was instrumental in organising the rapid evacuation of non-combatant civilians during the running battles through the Capitol’s streets.
During the fighting, she was last seen with a pair of broken wings outside what would later become Rarity’s Canterlot boutique, fighting hoof to hoof with a number of Changeling drones, until the moment she collapsed from a mix of pain, shock, and sheer physical exhaustion.
Subsequently, she was captured and cocooned by the Changelings, effectively being used as a living fuel-source for Queen Chrysalis, like many other ponies.
After the Changelings were ejected from the city, Ivory was released from her cocoon by Twilight Sparkle, and was immediately put into intensive care while she slowly healed from her numerous injuries. She is yet another mare who was later lauded by the Princesses for her bravery in the face of impossible odds.
Her recovery was not a full one, however, and will not heal any further.
As mentioned before, she suffers with phantom pains throughout her body, a side effect from neurological damage taken in combat during the Changeling Invasion, along with early onset arthritis.
Flying for extended periods rapidly becomes increasingly painful, so much of the time, she voluntarily stays on the ground to avoid this, despite her wings being in visually perfect health.

Additionally, her hormonal imbalance can make her behaviour erratic at times, even with medication, and this normally takes the form of her becoming a very sultry and seductive mare- to the point of becoming a pest. To once again clarify, this is not her normal behaviour, and much of the time, her medication levels her out and prevents this. Locals are well aware of the situation, and don’t take offense to it any more.
When it comes to more personal matters, Ivory Heart is openly bisexual, and doesn’t care about the species or even looks of a potential partner so long as she is loved and treated well. She is a sensual mare who loves gentle physical affection, and is not to be treated roughly for any reason. She hates that she is so delicate these days, but simultaneously accepts it as a necessary sacrifice for what she achieved during the Battle of Canterlot.
As she would say, “Freedom isn’t free.”
