I wish more artist wern’t afraid to do shading like this. Where light and shaddow fallows a different approach than a singular light source.
I persionally want to learn the latter for better realism. However, when creating instruments with illustrations: art like this works out better.
Unless its a mural. Then there is the exception. Like on a piano lid where its a large flat surface.
