Also, this whole “no recording or the VAs could get sued” sounds like bullshit. If that was true, maybe they SHOULDN’T DO WHAT THEY PLAN TO DO!
So instead of just moving on, she decided Bronies are her enemy. That sounds healthy. /facepalm
Oh, sorry. Yeah, I don’t feel I know enough about what happened to comment on that, but it’s a rather long and ugly story. It started with her poor judgment of running BroNYcon out of her own pocket instead of setting it up as a separate entity (opening herself up to charges of theft) and conflicting reports of her having a stress-induced breakdown and/or abusing con staffers at the last BroNYcon she ran. Things have spiraled out of control from there.
Sorry, I should have clarified: why did PT lose her marbles and get pissed at Bronies? I heard there was some drama with BroNYCon but I tend to ignore that type of shit.
She’s offering a reward for someone to post footage of this panel on YouTube, even though she knows it was the VAs who asked for congoers to not record it. I haven’t seen any evidence that PT knew of this particular tweet, though, so she may not know that leaked footage could expose the VAs to lawsuits or other harm.
Wow, it’s sad that someone who used to help the fandom is so determined to destroy it now. I used to look up to her for what she did, now all she cares about is hurting anyone she doesn’t like.

Also, reading her tweets from the past 24 hours: Yikes, is she full of herself, and quick to judge others without knowing the full story.
EQLA’s not handling this terribly well, but I don’t see that as reason enough to go against the guests’ wishes and risk exposing them to lawsuits or other problems.
canterlot gardens did this and there was no problems unless their reading a porno with their characters voices…
So LA plays it safes, put up this rule and can always say they tried to stop people from recording.
I agree cameras have become to small and common place you wont stop them all the VAs should have realized this and not agreed to do anything that could come back on them. just posting the “The VAs have asked for no recording otherwise a lawsuit can occur towards the voice actors” would be a tip off to hasbro things get around the internet quite well.
they had their no recording as their rules since they started selling tickets to the con if you chose not to read their rules then that sucks for you but they were there since the start

The fallout from this could ruin far more than just a con.
People were going to record regardless of what happened, and that isn’t allowed. People don’t seem to grasp that it’s not the con that made this rule, it was done at the request of VAs. They seem to be doing it because of the perceived injustice of a harsh rule, but no one has actually calmed down and read that the VAs requested that they wouldn’t be recorded.
