That is cool magic/gun design. Haven’t seen artifact used as replacement for magic in such a way.

If it works, it works. “Not accurate,” they say, but remember designs have changed a lot over the 20ish years of the games, so stuff like this can still be accurate in FoE, especially with how people have wildly different ideas of translating Fo weapons into ponyland. (Example: many people like use the infiltrator model as a base for the zebra rifle pip uses.) Plus didn’t “FoE: Duck and Cover,” have a modified nerf gun that fires explosive darts given to the main character. And it wouldn’t be a real wasteland, if someone didn’t modify a toy to be a real weapon. (I know of a person who wishes to make a ‘billy bass sonic blaster’ for a fallout game.) Fallout 1/2 had BB guns which included a variant that dealt like 25 damage, 3 had plastic knife you could find in one of the DLCs, New Vegas returned with the BB guns, and 4/76 had water guns/acid guns and a paddle board (or whatever you call that thing with the ball, string and board).
