I just wish that all sides would stop strawmanning the other sides, and focus on their actual arguments.

Perhaps, but honestly, MORE haters are whining, and constantly bringing it up, and such then pro-EG, or those neutral to it at this point on Derpibooru, and there’s no denying that. So don’t try to point the finger at me, like I’m the one creating drama. I’m not complaining about people not liking it I’m complaining about people constantly bringing it up, and needlessly bashing it, without even giving proper crticism besides, “it sux!”
If they have a right to rant, and rave constantly, why can’t people with different or “neutral” opinions have their say to? Are only haters allowed to have their say, because it’s more “popular” to hate E.G. at this time? Why am I suddenly the “bad guy?”
I will admit both sides need to chill perhaps, but it’s funny you’re only targeting me, when I’m not the only one fed up with the “Equestria Girls” drama ON BOTH SIDES, I just feel the haters are creating more drama personally. (Just look at all the images they’re posting.)
Heck, even some E.G.-haters are getting sick of it to.
Also, let me also make something clear, this may come as a surprise to you, but I don’t have a “favorable” opinion on EG, I never said it was going to be “amazing.” So you can’t accuse me of being “biased,” in favor of the movie…
In fact, I was skeptical about it to, (even still a li’l bit) I even criticized some things to, but overall I’ve always had just a “neutral” opinion on it, and I’m not going to complain about it constantly, nor give it mindless praise either.

People are allowed to disagree with the complaints and criticisms, but if all they’re going to say is, “STFU haters! U R all stoopid Faust worshippers! Quit jumping to conclusions! I believe in M.A. Larson! Quit being so entitled! You’re not REAL FANS!!!1! Wah wah waaaahhhh!” then what’s the point?
No amount of shrieking and passive-aggressive lecturing is going to shut the haters up or convince them that Twilicorn and Equestria Girls aren’t fucking terrible ideas, so why do you keep complaining about people not liking the show?

People are allowed to not like things, but if all they’re going to say is, “Oh this is stoopid! Kill it with fire! This is an abomination! Ruined foreverz! They changed it so it sucks! My fanfics are better! Dai Hasbro! It’s for little girls! I’m leaving the fandom! Wah wah waaaahhhh!”

I just see no point in “complaining about things you don’t watch” constantly. Or before they even come out.
How do we know it’s a “bad idea” though? If the kids love it, then that’s all that matters.
Heck alot of older FiM fans were reluctant to even watch the FiM show in the first place, fearing it was “to girly,” and such, remember that? It could be good, or at least “decent” for all we know. I don’t have huge hopes for it either, but I have a “neutral” opinion overall, and after seeing the trailer, I honestly don’t think it looks that “horrible.”

In businness like that, the first one to say an idea is bad is blamed for the idea being bad. That why, when a bad idea is accepted nobody told them until it’s release, then the fans, who can’t be fired, express their thoughts about it.
Seriously, they care more about what I think than I care about the show.

Reminds me of some guy on DA (DeviantArt) who was hassling me for liking the Sonic comics, and told me they sucked, just because Sally Acorn got (temporarily) turned into a robot in them. Yet his DA account’s favorites’ folder if full of fanart of Sally, and other characters getting roboticized, and such…
