I consider skirts that do not extend to the knee to be too short. The shirt is fine, but she ought to tuck it into her skirt for a more presentable look.
 
‘Slutty’ is a strong word; I would say she is on the edge between immodest/respectable dress.

Okay.

This image more or less says “one is a pony, one is a human.” Ponies are chubby (compared to what?), of course the human would not have a mane or tail, how is a blue shirt with buttons expensive, neither image says anything about personality, and this may be a shock, but yes, ponies do not have human features.

You and I have very different ideas of slutty, OP.  
Based purely on appearance, I’d say they looked about equally nerdy. But remember that the change seems to be entirely cosmetic. Its still Twilight’s mind and personality in there, so she’s as much of a nerd as she ever was.  
But I do want to hug that pony, on that much we agree.

Yeah, but still, look at the drawing of the Monster High lines, and they’re different than the dolls: They’re skinnier, with bigger eyes and bigger lips. They might end up looking similar, but we don’t know how much. Plus, with this being a money maker, we don’t know if all the alternate outfits will be just skirts, if there will be several versions of the same doll, just with different clothes, or if something like the White Celestia will happen… eventually, and have them in what the fans usually dress them.
