They either gain sentience and can never go back to the human world without being effectively lobotomized, or they become goats, staying at effectively the same intelligence level. I’m gonna go with the second one because the portal alters bodies rather than minds, and because it doesn’t make me die insde a little.

Well, a pony from our human world or even a normal horse, if brought down to Equestria, it would just become a blank-flanked Earth Pony. (maybe Candy Mane is from the human world?) This would also come true for the EqG world.

Obviously the chain of command in Equestria is pony>dog>dragon, so anyone going from our world to Equestria would simply move down one link in the chain.

They explode.  
No actually, they undergo no change. In this world, they are dull, retarded freaks that are shunned by the normal ponies in this universe. They are treated no better than the dirt beneath their hooves.  
Used as slaves or sex objects but only dimly aware of the tortured existence they live.  
And then they explode.
