Panting heavily and with sore hooves, the young filly and her family and friends ran into the night.

“Keep going!” shouted her father. “Just keep moving!”

Behind her, the filly could hear screams coming from her hometown. Looking back, the filly could see the entire place was on fire…and that a dark blur was weaving in and out of the town.

“Alright,” said her father as the mini-herd came to stop at a grove of trees. “Alright, we’re safe now. We’re safe.”

BOOM

All the ponies were knock off their hooves by an immense shockwave. The trees around them were instantly reduced to splinters.

“It’s her!” cried one of the ponies, as they all got back onto their hooves.

“SCATTER!” cried the filly’s father and everypony ran in different directions. The filly stayed close to her parents as a dark shadow cast onto the ground.

WHOOSH

To her left, all the fleeing ponies suddenly vanished into thin air. The filly hugged closer to her mother.

WHOOSH

Again, more ponies disappeared. The filly’s hoof suddenly slipped on a loose rock causing her fall to the ground.

“Momma!” she cried out. Her parents whirled around and immediately started back for her—

WHOOSH

A dark blur obscured them from sight and they were gone.

There was silence.

Breathing shakily, the filly stood up and looked around. There was nopony else around, she was the only one left.

Then out of nowhere, she appeared.

“Heh, pretty cool, huh?” said the evil mare, her armor glistening in the moonlight. The filly huddled up into a ball.

“Relax,” continued the mare as she started circling the filly. “I’m not going to kill you. In fact, I have an important job for you to do.” The mare leaned down next to the filly. “I want you to tell everypony what I did here. I want you to tell them what happens to ponies who say ’no’ to me.” The mare whispered into the filly’s ear. “You can do that, can’t you?”

Laughing wildly, the nightmare that had been Rainbow Dash launched herself into the sky and left the filly behind. Streaking across the scarred landscape in record time, the nightmare soon arrived at her destination—Cloudsdale. The streets of the floating city were still stained red with the blood of it’s citizens. The nightmare took a moment to admire her handiwork before making her way to her makeshift fortress in the now abandoned cloud factories.

Smashing through a wall for no reason, the nightmare landed on the floor and trotted over to her throne, and plopped down onto it.

“Ahhh,” she said, placing her hooves behind her head. “It’s good to be queen.”

“There are many, many, many horrible things I have in mind right now that I intend on doing to you all. And you can expect me to do every single one. I am the Element of Loyalty; that makes me a pony of my word…”
