Nowhere is it stated that she was sisters with them (unless that comes up in upcoming material).

Also, I think she has a lovely design.

This redesign is cool. She is a bit flat colored in G5.

Calling her a villain, mind you, is very generous, considering how hard she tries to do that. She puts so much effort into being evil that she’s seen as a joke. And she doesn’t understand why nobody is taking her seriously. Then, there was her end with those vines, which I think was just an opportunity for Hasbro to explore their… darker fetishes, as I’ve seen enough hentai to know where that’s headed, and I do not wish to think about that for sake of my mental health.

She also has the weakest argument: “Oh no, I’ve been tossed aside by my two sisters; I know; I’ll get revenge by being evil and dooming the lives of many innocent ponies who have nothing to do with my problem.” She even steals cutie marks because that was totally an original decision that totally wasn’t made by someone else more competent. She’s like a walking insult to all cartoon villains and even antagonists.

You can’t milk the excuse, “but there should be variety” - no, people must admit that Hasbro did a terrible job designing her. Do you know who else had abandonment issues that also stole cutie marks and generally did a far better job of being a bad guy before she was reformed, even winning for a time before Twilight and her friends investigated her village, which wasn’t even her home village? Plus, she nearly prevented friendship from ever being a thing, which Opaline seems to be having too much trouble with doing. You guys know who I speak of.
