You don’t need to cross dimensions to go to a different universe, there are infinite universes in our dimension. I believe the “heaven” is just Equestria. A white light, which you go to so you can enjoy whatever you love. PONIES!

Many-worlds Interpretation fits Quantum Foundations principles so well, it’s beyond coincidence. Given that, a principle of infinite amount of Everett branches follows and with that, and the law of big numbers, a civilization of equines with human-like level of intelligence is not particularly less feasible that of space-faring hairless primates.
 
As long as ponies can be described with internally-consistent physical laws, that is. If we presume that physics can fluctuate during first moments of Big Bang — a likely theory — there are ponies out there.
