Hey everyone!

Now this is something I’ve been meaning to do for a while, as I had realised that Dusty’s design had become a little dated due to improvements in my techniques and was high time for a redux.

For those of you who are unaware, Sheriff Dusty Duke is Sandy Trails’ boss, and kind of a second father to her. Sandy is very adept at tracking and information gathering, and often acts as the Sheriff’s eyes and ears, both in town, and in the desert that she spends so much time in.

And no, I’m not shipping Dusty and Sandy- they’re not interested in each other in that regard lol

Firstly, I did colour rebalancing as per all of my more recent base edits. Next up, it was time to give him a new, and more fitting mane and tail style. Then I removed that God-awful moustache that he had. I regret ever putting that on him in the first place.

The buttons on his outfit are now of a more simple pattern, and his badge is now larger- the writing on it is more legible.

His hat is now seated further back on his head, and his horn is now visible. And lastly, the stitching in his outfit has been refined and simplified over the original design.

This particular edit took me in the region of 4 hours and 30 minutes to complete. A slow process to be sure, but I’m pleased with his design now.

Also, his “Ass-less Chaps” are staying. Don’t look at me like that, they’re actually practical for a pony XD
