I just realized something…
I think I know what the “mayonnaise” part is referencing in the words that Unicorns consider to be jinxie: “Magic”, “wing”, “feather”. “mayonnaise”.
Back in 2006 the “Robot Chicken” show’s episode came out, with the scene where they say the following: “If you polish a unicorn horn long enough, it gives you magical unicorn mayonnaise.“
(That even inspired bronies to create a tag on derpibooru with the term “magical unicorn mayonnaise”, back in 2013.)
This really doesn’t look like a coincidence… I think the writers of the movie made the clear reference to that, which only adults would understand. XD

Oh come on. Since the unicorns got their magic back meaning there is no reason to continuing to hating mayonnaise.
