The colours of the flag match Rainbow’s mane exactly, which means she isn’t lying - it’s not the pride flag, that actually is the Rainbow Dash flag.

The rainbow of Rainbow’s mane is a very specific set of hues.
Like, yeah, it’s a rainbow, but you also couldn’t just slap any old art program’s generic “rainbow” palette into her hairspace and say “That’s what Rainbow Dash looks like.” It’d definitely register as Rainbow Dash, but one could tell something’s not right.
The yellow color in RD’s mane is much more pale than on the LGBT flag.
