Hey everyone,
Thought I’d drop this redesign of Dusty Tome, who is one of my longest-serving characters that’s still without a full bio here. She has had an extensive rework since her original pic, and has now been altered to be an earth pony instead of a unicorn. Additionally, her mane was made an off-white as I felt it fitted her better than her long, dark blue braids. The other usual colour corrections were, of course, implemented as well.
(Only after completing this edit did I realise just how similar she got to Trixie Lulamoon’s colour palette- just as well I got rid of the horn, after all. XD)

Dusty is the 48 year old Mayoress of Oataca- the important city in Equestria’s deep south where many of my characters live and work.
Her brass peytral, for want of a better word, is simply the traditional mark of office for a Mayor or Mayoress in this city, and has a minor enchantment to make the gemstone match the wearer’s eye colour.
She is a genuine, hardworking mare, with a gift for leading by example, and is generally championed by the city’s populace as a result; a fact that has gotten her re-elected multiple times.
Dusty is healthy, fit, and always willing to lend a hoof to those in need- something was shown during a flood nearly a decade ago, wherein she tirelessly assisted local emergency responders in their rescue attempts. The Mayoress unintentionally became the de-facto linchpin of the operation and personally saved numerous lives as a result.
Dusty only stopped helping once everpony had been accounted for, finally allowing herself to collapse from her own exhaustion. Lauded publicly as a heroine by Princess Luna, Dusty has stayed in close contact with the Night Princess, and can count Luna as a personal friend.
