As for poplar forests, I’ve never had the pleasure of threading (or seeing) one, but forests in general are lovely places.

You know, the way you texture the wings reminds me a lot of the aspen poplar forests I used to walk around as a kid, you’re probably really great at drawing that kind of thing.
Absolutely in love with how you shade things, the choice of stippling at the edges of hair and for the background is a lot like noise in low-light photographs, communicating how dark the scene is so subtly yet effectively
