Ancestor Pinkie Pie does not like you using her name to tarnish Izzy Moonbow by any means necessary.

Even setting my own feelings aside, Pinkie was never so rude and socially unaware as to disrupt the party by intentionally destroying things.

I guess Izzy is still the inconsiderate nightmare roommate she was right at the beginning of TYT when they first moved in.

It’s totally fine and understandable if balloon stuff upsets or annoys you. I definitely had some years of my life where the phobia was very much a day to day struggle to deal with. I’ve changed since then, but I sympathize.

That said, I’ve updated the post with moments where this kind of situation comes up involving Pinkie.

At least in the canon material, none of the characters have a particularly strong opinion about balloons popping. Only in the IDW Comic canon is it specifically addressed for Rainbow Dash, and in a couple of episodes it’s mildly hinted at being a negative for Fluttershy since she doesn’t like noise in general. And (EqG) Pinkie Pie’s stated attitude towards balloons is that there’s “Always time for balloons”.

Pinkie clearly didn’t do it on purpose in that episode.

Maybe she’ll redeem herself like Sunset slowly did after messing up Pinkie’s party, but Izzy is talking about herself when singing about T.R.A.S.H.

Pinkie Pie did a very similar thing in Secret of our Excess, which I think this episode is a soft allusion to. Also in Equestria Girls, though that’s arguably a separate character.

Generally the vibe is that Pinkie Pie just wants everyone to have a good time, however they enjoy themselves.

As far as the actual content across all of the shows, movies, and comics, very view of the characters have shown particularly polarized opinions about balloon popping in particular. Mostly just Pinkie Pie is keen to have them around. And even when Pinkie herself starts to pop frequently in Pony Life, most of her friends had very little reaction to it at all.

Her frustration with Gilda popping her balloons (she wants Gilda to have fun, not ruin the fun for others.)
Her frustration with Sunset Shimmer popping her balloons (She is trying to prepare for a party, and doesn’t want Sunset to ruin the fun for others)
Her frustration after the accidental replacement-sun balloon pop in Horse Play. (Everyone is frustrated because this would have been a suitable replacement for the previous broken sun prop.)
