Through a time of having studied the UN and having had participated in the Mock versions of such institutions… The UN really is mostly politics and is very ineffective at the main point of peace. Even a matter as simple as combating the spread of viruses has volumes of different arguments you could make in any order, not that any of them will actually work. However, having yourself speak enough and shoving yourself to the main discussion arena, you might become recognized and have your idea inserted into whatever plan you and your fellow politicians cooked up.
 
Maybe with Celestia something might be finished.
