to elaborate, if the palette reaches it’s 256 color limit for the palette, IFV will attempt to match any leftover colors to a “middle ground” during conversion.

Thus they must be wildly different to ensure all colors are captured correctly.

because it is too similar to the grey of her coat and is mixed during conversion.
I’d suggest changing it to a violently different color for the exporting and conversion process, given this is already a false palette.

Of course, this is assuming you are using the IrFanView method.

Increasing the palettes would cause issues when making palette changes. The engine does not make it very clear which colour is what.
