Mistral Rose is a 36 year old earth pony mare originally hailing from San Pranciscolt, but now living in Dazzledell Hollow, a small rural town located a little north of Appleoosa. Here, she works as a pharmacist for the hospital that serves both towns. Known to be a kindhearted and humble mare who cares deeply for ponies in general, Rosie, as her friends know her, has made herself invaluable to the hospital she works for.

Rosie managed to do this with her dogged and relentless pursuit of the art of potion-making, using natural ingredients to heal or ease symptoms of certain illnesses that are resistant to modern-day medicine. However, she tempers this with the knowledge that pharmaceuticals serve their purpose well for the most part, and she is not against issuing them where and when appropriate to do so.

The world of Equis is not like Earth where magical maladies do not exist, but for the longest time, the knowledge regarding how to deal with these problems has, for the vast majority of ponies, been lost. But through coming across both a Zebra and Deer shaman at different points of her life, Mistral Rose spent time with them and learned of the art of potion making.

Since then, Mistral had spent her spare time putting these remedies to paper, and compiled them into both books and scientific papers in order to share the knowledge to everypony. Now, in almost every library in Equestria, you will find free copies of her books. Of course, these books are still relatively little known at present, but with the influx of Deer into Equestria, the majority of them not trusting modern medications, potion making is beginning to become more commonplace.

Later, after Princess Luna’s return from exile and her finding one of Rosie’s books, the Princess personally sought out Rosie, and thanked her for helping to return one of the old but still very relevant ways to Equestria. Princess Luna additionally gifted Rosie a copy of one of her own ancient tomes on the matter to help expand Rosie’s repertoire of potions. When the next editions of Mistral Rose’s books are printed, recipes for these ancient potions are to be included upon the pages.

Of course, the moment the hospital she works at realised just what they had on their hooves, they lauded Mistral Rose for her dedication and sheer natural ability for not only potion-making, but also for her flat refusal of any financial reward for bringing the lost art back to the masses. As far as she is concerned, this is knowledge that ALL ponies should have, and they should have it freely as they did in the distant past.

Physically, just like her sister, she is taller than average for an earth pony mare, being around 135cms, or approximately 4 feet and 2 inches tall. However, she has an even lighter build than her sister at approximately 25kgs, or 55lbs. This is not due to malnutrition or any eating disorder, this is quite literally how this slender, svelte mare is built. Rosie’s vivid red mane and tail are not dyed, that is her natural colouration, as eye-catching as it is.

It should be stated here that just like her sister, Rosie is a mare of singular focus and determination and does not like being interrupted while working, and this can lead to her snapping verbally. However, Rosie will always apologise sheepishly when this happens, as it’s not really in her nature to act like that.

It is noted by the Bureau that apart from her sister and her sister’s husband, Mistral Rose has a small and compact group of friends that she spends her free time with, often having tea and pastries- of which fruit cobblers, especially strawberry ones, are her personal weakness. It is uncommon for it to happen, but very occasionally Rosie will pursue her love of these treats to the exclusion of all other things. It is seen by her friends, colleagues and even her superiors as a simple eccentricity of hers, and everypony just deals with it.

Rosie has also rarely speaks to her parents anymore, just like her big sister, and again refuses to elaborate why this is the case. From the limited research that the Bureau has been able to do, we have ascertained that they are both still alive and well at this point, and neither has a criminal record. In the future, perhaps, we will have an answer, but for now it is irrelevant.

Additionally, Rosie is a lover and collector of cheesy, trashy, romantic fantasy novels, and the basement of her beautiful and well-appointed cottage is full of enchanted bookshelves featuring every single book she has picked up over the years. Of course, this collection is only likely to expand into the future.

When it comes to more personal matters, Mistral Rose is single, bisexual, and looking for a special somepony. And regarding the species of partners, she frankly couldn’t care less so long as she was treated well and respected. And of course, Rosie isn’t desperate, and neither does she want children. So she is taking her sweet time, and not rushing headlong into a relationship.
