Beauty and the Beast attracts such weird takes.
On the one hand you have that Stockholm Syndrome fan theory from like 2009 that completely belittles Belle and makes her look weak. I guess sacrifice for your father and wanting to help people better themselves is bad.
And then on the other side you have these fringe dudebros who probably see Gaston as animated Andrew Tate. I feel like they have to know deep down defending Gaston is a dumb hill to die on, but they desperately want to have a hot take.

And she did have a certain charisma that made her kind of likeable.
I feel like if anything people want to make her a victim sort of like Harley Quinn and try to downplay her bad deeds.

Gaston is literally such an a-hole no one would believe he’s the good guy. Cozy at least seems nice in her debut and we had Neighsay as the scapegoat.

Like it’s only the most far gone fringe weirdos who think Gaston is legit in the right.
I don’t know anyone who’d consider Cozy Glow a good guy. Even the pro-Gaston freaks wouldn’t because they’re also probably sexist.
