Description

The Palestinian people deserve to be safe and free. Nothing Hamas has done, however horrible, justifies genocide and other war crimes. Israel’s right to exist does not negate Palestine’s right to exist and Palestinian’s right to life and safety.
If you don’t like this statement, I really don’t care. If you object to me engaging with “politics” (human rights are not “politics”) I also don’t care. I’m not even going to engage with bad faith arguments.
(I’ll be interested to see how long this stays up before the mods have to lock comments)

The only piece of criticism that I got that I actually considered somewhat valid is that Ukraine and Palestine are different situations and it muddles the issue to lump them together. So I’m keeping the old one up and standing by it, but I decided to also make two separate images.

Yeah, I can see Luna (At least luna in EAW) supporting Palestine, she wants rights for her batponies and her batponies are being oppressed, so yeah, it makes sense

I stand with Stellarator on this. There are certain things that are morally wrong wherever they occur and whoever is doing them. All right-thinking people should recognize and oppose those wrongs - it’s not a question of politics, it’s a question of morality.

Yeah, it is kind of late, though the original piece was from a month or two ago. But it took me a while to realize that even with a teeny tiny platform, it was important to say something instead of just ranting in private. Especially because very few people in the fandom seem to be saying anything.
But yeah…“politics” is stuff reasonable people can disagree about and discuss. Stuff like steel tariffs or the nuances of immigration law or taxes is politics. Genocide and war crimes are not politics. They are not something there is room for different opinions about.

I don’t see much art on here in support of Palestine, which saddens me. Even though this is fairly late, thank you for making your stance in support of their human rights known. And thank you for recognizing the current operation as a genocide. Additionally, I also agree, this point you’re making here should NOT be seen as too political to openly state on even a pony art website like this.
