The G5-style “upside-down” hoof hearts are the only style of detailed hoof I enjoy on ponies, with all the “flourishes” Dragonpone described. All the other variants look somewhere between weird and gross to me, to the point that I’ve wished for years for a good tag that filters out all the “squishy” kinds (TIL hoofbutt. It covers maybe half the variants I dislike but is very undertagged). But I truly love G5’s take on hooves.
G5 walked a very fine line here and I say they got it absolutely right with delightful results. You won’t convince me that this can be made any cuter by flipping the heart or making the hoof more “realistic” (for that matter, the “squishy” hooves that are so popular are even less “realistic” than G5 hooves):

I agree with that second statement. I have no idea what the reasoning behind turing the hoof heart 180 degrees was, but it looks odd. Even the 2017 MLP movie had their hoof shapes corrected.
The idea was that whenever we see the undersides of ponies’ hooves, like when they point at things, we see a “correctly” oriented heart, which looks adorable and visually reinforces MLP’s friendship themes.

I know that tag is usually explicit, but would this qualify for the fifth leg tag? Pinkie is literally holding out five hooves there in the third panel, not even counting the two(?) she’s sitting on.
