I totally get it. If I were the god-emperor of this site, the policy would probably be to lock comments much sooner on images that touch on hot button issues. That would be the “price of admission” for certain categories of images. But I’m not the god-emperor, and the seniormost staff has much more experience running this asylum, so I’ll defer to their judgement.

Not sure what you think that has to do with the genocide being committed today in Gaza, but there’s also a somewhat famous book which details the original Israelite people arriving in that region as conquerors from somewhere else, so I still think this is down to basic reading comprehension.

And by the way.
The term Palestine was basically a pet name that the Romans came up with for that region, and from what I remember, may have actually been talking about the areas of Syria and such that were more north of modern day Israel, as what is Israel today was the province of Judea.
And all that happened centuries before Islam ever showed up.

I don’t want to assume you’re not interested in learning just because you post like this, so I highly encourage you to read into the history of Palestine, the history of anti-occupation resistance and the circumstances of the formation of Hamas. The violence is overwhelmingly one-sided and Palestinians are facing a genocide that Israel bears sole responsibility for.
