The way they get together in my AU that I’m working is that after the events of the movie, Sprout at first closes himself off from the others, spending most of his time in his room feeling guilty over his actions as “Emperor” and anger at losing his job as deputy(even though deep down he does understand why he was fired). Izzy, believing that everypony deserves not only a second chance but also friends, tries to get him to open up about his feelings regarding all the changes in Maretime Bay. He’s resistant to her at first but does slowly start to come around and eventually decides to give friendship a chance. He makes amends with the rest of the mane 5 and eventually accepts a new job in construction. They don’t truly develop feelings for each other till much later(about a year after the end of the movie).

I based a lot of this on this fan fic written by SuperPinkBrony12(If you ever visit FimFiction.net, give his stories a read). I’m gonna have more on my AU in the next few weeks especially since the newest episode of “Tell Your Tale” provided a ton of new lore for me to draw inspiration from!
