Page 100
So this is increda! This is a special page to me on so many levels. Page 100! This comic has become so much more than I ever expected. The story has come a long way since its creation- when I was laying on my bed in college just daydreaming. I heard a quote this past week while watching a webinar for work. It went something along the lines of, “you write a book to learn what the book is going to be”. This story has evolved so much. As I wrote and drew, I made discoveries about the characters. I learned more about who they were and who they wanted to be- and that has influenced and changed the story in a great way.I could not be more pleased to commemorate page 100 with a reference to Littlepip, the Savior of the Wasteland! It wasn’t a hard reference to make. The dialogue lined up nicely for the situation. But not only that, this page really does represent the heart of the comic. They’re not heroes.…and yes, the sunset is a convenient metaphor.Now please excuse the ramblings of a non-writer wannabe comic artist, and enjoy the page! Thanks for sticking around for the ride and I hope that 2018 will be a good year for the comic. It may surprise some of you, but I intend to see this thing through ;P
