What I can recommend is that when writing a comic story, it's good keep things simple and easy to follow.
If what you want is to create a world around this story, then develop it little by little and create expectations for the next project you have in mind about this story, so that you can give it continuity and create interest in what could happen next.

Honestly, it surprises me that today there seems to be no vore artist who creates a story with real continuity that shows the consequences of making prey disappear and dealing with it.

For example, I love the context that Gum Heart has unintentionally digested somepony in the past revealed in >>3365819 (if this is canon within this comic) but I want to know more about what she did next.
Didn't anyone ask him about her patients?
How she hide his prey's cutie marks?
prey's cutie mark fade over time once their magic has been completely assimilated?
Does she feel bad about what she did or does she just feel disappointed in herself for falling into temptation again?
