No, I’ve seen it mentioned several times before. Which just shifts the problem from “Rarity gave Spike the tiniest gem” to “Spike gave up the most valuable gem first, even though it came from the one he has a serious crush on”.

Not that I’m all that annoyed with that little inconsistency; after all, it led to probably the funniest image of s3.
