I wasn’t criticizing their “art” nor their comprehension of art. I was laughing at their stance that removing the background from a screencap magically turns it into a vector. Perhaps on DA that stance works, but it does not work here.

Which is kinda sad. They spend so much time creating their “vectors”, yet in the end all they have are blurry cropped screencaps full of artifacts. Inkscape isn’t that hard to use, and it would let them create real vectors. For free.

you’re not allowing them creativity

There’s no creativity in removing backgrounds from screencaps. Tracing a screencap isn’t really creative either, but once you have a real vector, it can be further edited (without quality loss, which is a big plus) and that does allow real creativity.

Look, sometimes these DA “vector” people come here and start uploading their images. Sometimes they create an account, often not. They tag their uploads as vectors, and no matter how many times the tags get corrected, no matter how many times they get reminded that their images are not vectors, they won’t stop it. It goes on and on and on, until something bad (like a ban) eventually happens.

But anyway, since you’re the uploader, and presumably the uploader of other images artist:blockslikepl has made, then please start tagging them as edited screencap and background removed (and solo if it applies). You keep systematically leaving them out.

This is not hurting the site at all in fact people like MrToonlover83 or HomerSimpson1983 has a similar stance of just cutting out an image of a character from a screencap and call it a vector even if its obviously not a vector.
