Well now I finally DID have a pony dream. Or three, kind of. Since 95% of all my dreams are part videogame, it started out playing through the Mane Six’s adventures as an adventure game, then alicorn twilight turned into Celestia playing an MMORPG, then she got captured by Discord who I had to beat down in a Soul Calibur style fighting game as Luna (with Ivy’s moveset.) to get him to turn everything back to normal.

I dreamed that I was Princess Luna, and I was standing in front of a house in Ponyville. I wanted to have a night flight, but decided to watch the night sky first. I stared at the North Star and concentrated, and behold, the night sky started to spin around the North Star faster and faster. I panicked and used will power to reverse it back to its original position. Then I opened my wings and ascended into the sky.
 
That’s where the dream memory stopped.

Ponies are responsible for what I’m certain is the prettiest imagery in a dream I’ve ever had (last October):
 
Twilight had ascended, but, instead of becoming an alicorn she had become something much more than that; an omnipotent presence watching over everypony. Dash and Pinkie afterwords found solace in eachother’s company and Twilight’s overseeing magical embrace while floating together far above the planet, with the stars shifted to form a likeness of Twilight’s visage smiling upon them.
 
… And then there was my dream where Rainbow Dash joined a fight club and I, as Pinkie, found her as a blood smear on the floor.

The only sort-of-pony-related dream I had was two days ago. I dreamed I played a series of pony horror games, which seemed to be platformer/adventure hybrids, where you play some kind of OC stallion.
 
The third game didn’t seem to have anything to do with ponies, which made me wonder I played something entirely different. It’s also the only one where I remember the adventure game passages from, so the previous two games may have been pure platformers, instead of hybrids.
 
The only “scary” thing I remember comes from the third game, where I found a human head in a fridge, from a guy who got killed with a rake (with a part of the rake still sticking out of his head). There was also voice-over, whenever you found a dead guy, that explained how they died. I think I heard the voice before in some game, but can’t remember it. In any case, it was completely unfitting, since it sounded… I don’t know. Monotonous? Bored? Not appropriate to the mood, at least.
 
The dream may have been influenced by the Luna games, but I never played time (only watched a few videos on Youtube).

I haven’t had any pony dreams yet. I’ve only even had a small handful of general furry dreams in 10 years of being in the fandom. One of them was amazingly vivid and gave me my main avatar/fursona/oc/whatever though so that was awesome.

Seriously though, I’m not sure I’ve ever had a proper Pony dream, at least not in a while. Your dream sounds like a bizarre “Ron the Death Eater”-type fanfic that vilifies Twi & RD. Perhaps your subconscious is acting out against their perceived S3 character derailments?

Last time I had a pony dream, I, as in the IRL me was a character in a MMO and my mount was Celestia. All I did the entire dream was sit there, on her back, in the capital city watching her mane wave. It was a pretty good dream.

I had a dream where me and Carrot Top had to break into Aperture Laboratories. It was one of those really vivid dreams that feel 100% real while you’re in them. It’s also weird that it was a background pony that I don’t pay much attention to.

Are you sure you just weren’t reading a fanfic?

My dreams never stick to a theme.
