Here we see the rare and ever-mysterious Alicornicus Bibliophilius. A prime specimen, but a reclusive creature. Bibliophilius is content to hide in its carefully curated wood pulp nest consuming quantities of papyrus and ink that baffle not only Equinologists and Naturalists, but even Physicists! But beware, for the Bibliophilius’s solitary nature belies an acute social awareness. Even now her co-dependent species, the Draconis Secretari, keeps careful watch over her vast hoard and keeps an eye open for all who might seek her dedicated attention (assuming there are no Unicornicus Fashinistus in the area, which the Secretari find irresistable), and at any time one of her great herd may appear with warning of dangers. Any such danger to her herd will be met with a rapid response that may range from complex and fascinating social dances to furious, brilliantly colorful displays of shockingly powerful aggression. In all but the most challenging instances, such conflicts are resolved within a remarkably consistent average of 20-25 minutes, after which the Bibliophilius returns to her nest to enjoy her ever-growing collection.
Truly, nature is so fascinating.
